For more than four decades, Casa Amparo and Casa Refugio de Maria have been a place of refuge, love, and hope for vulnerable girls. Founded in 1979 by the devoted Sisters of the Order of Our Lady of Charity, this remarkable ministry  has opened its doors to hundreds of girls who faced abandonment, abuse, poverty, and life on the streets.


Behind the walls of these orphanages, children who once knew fear and uncertainty discover something they have never experienced before: a safe home, a caring family, and the opportunity to dream of a brighter future.


Every day, the Sisters serve as mothers, teachers, counselors, and role models to approximately 100 girls ranging in age from infancy to young adulthood. They provide shelter, nutritious meals, education, medical care, spiritual guidance and, most importantly, unconditional love. Through their dedication, countless girls have been given a chance at life.


Yet this mission depends entirely on the generosity of compassionate people like you.


Casa Amparo and Casa Refugio de Maria receive no government funding. Every meal served, every bed provided,every school supply purchased  and every opportunity given to these girls is made possible through charitable donations.
